2013 Mushroom Festival:
The Stark County Morel Mushroom Festival and Outdoor Show will be May 4th & 5th this year in Wyoming, IL. We have extended the show to a 2 day event and are inviting all Outdoor vendors to come and join us along with all previous vendors and new vendors who would like to also sign up.
On Saturday our highlight of the festival will be the "Fred Howard Memorial Morel Mushroom Auction" which will begin at 2:00 P.M. We will again be auctioning off Morels in bags weighing 1/2 pound each, cleaned but not washed.
This year we will be using a percentage system instead of charging a set fee for the selling of the Morels. Buyers will be required to get a number and register at the auction sight.
We are hoping to have a 5k run on Sunday along with a citywide garage sale and a pancake breakfast. We will have several food vendors selling everything from Pork Chops to our "World Famous Morel Mushroom Soup".
Saturday, the show will run from 9:00 A.M. until 5:00 P.M. and on Sunday from 9:00 A.M. until 3:00 P.M.
We have contacted vendors from all over the state and have got good feedback for this years show. We hope that vendors who would be interested sign up and come join us.
This is our 5th annual show. We hope to make it the biggest and best show to date!
