The crappie in the picture to the right weighed 1 lb. and 15 ounces. There were 32 total crappie, with the smallest ones weighing 3/4 of a pound.
They all were caught on minnows in a depth of between three and four foot water in mid April. A maple tree had fallen in the water and had buds trying to bloom, so it was still alive at the time of
this fishing trip. All of the fish had eggs and were in the pre-spawn stage.
