Morel Mushroom Festival and Auction May 2, 2009 in Stark County
Wyoming, IL, Feb 20, 2009:
The Morel Mushroom Festival and Auction will be held on Saturday, May 2, in Thomas Park, Wyoming, Illinois, from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. This new event will feature Morel mushrooms for sale by auction. Food, crafts and other festival fare will also be available.
Mushroom hunters are invited to bring mushrooms to sell at the auction, packaged in half-pound bags. A small fee will be paid by sellers to cover the cost of the
auction. The order of auction will be drawn at 11:00 a.m. at the event site. Sellers can sign up from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. The Auction will begin at 1:00 p.m.
Booth space is available. Booths may be reserved in advance. On-site registration for booths is from 7:00 a.m. until 9:00 a.m.
The event is being hosted by the Wyoming Area Chamber of Commerce and the Stark County Economic Development Office. Wyoming is located on Routes 17 and 91,
30 miles northwest of Peoria. It can be reached from I-74 and from I-80.
